This is another of my Corner Gas images. As I mentioned before, Corner Gas junkies like me will know immediately that the Dog River Howler is the premier news organization in Dog River. It is, in short, a very small local newspaper that has a very difficult time getting its facts straight. And I must note, even though the output from this mythical publication is used primarily for laughs, I think much of what passes for “news” in the mainstream media is just as humorous as the output from the Howler. This merging of reality and fantasy in the news business is why I like to call this image, “Breaking News.”
